Matt Strangio, a junior at Portland, won the men's 8-kilometer title in 24:08.1 at the West Coast Conference Cross Country Championships at Pepperdine's Alumni Park in Malibu, Calif. Strangio helped the Pilots place second behind first-time champion Gonzaga by a 44-56 margin.
