Brigham Young junior Conner Mantz became the first male athlete in the West Coast Conference to capture back-to-back individual titles since 1989-90 and only the fourth repeat champion in conference history, covering the 8-kilometer layout Wednesday in 22:54.4 at Craig Ranch Regional Park in North Las Vegas. Mantz led five BYU scorers in the top nine and nine athletes in the top 20 overall, leading the Cougars to a sixth consecutive team title and eighth overall in the past 10 years. More videos |
