Gonzaga teammates Wil Smith, a junior, and sophomore Bryce Cerkowniak took third and fourth, respectively, in the men's 8-kilometer race at the West Coast Conference Cross Country Championships at Pepperdine's Alumni Park in Malibu, Calif. Smith clocked 24:34.2 and Cerkowniak ran 24:42.1 to lead Gonzaga, which captured the first men's team title in program history with a 44-56 victory against Portland.
